MCSN Board Vacancies Explained: Representation by Genre, Publishers, and Associations
A detailed look at the vacancies available on MCSN's General Council (Board), the representation structures designed to reflect Nigeria's music industry diversity, and why balanced participation matters for governance.
Understanding the Vacancies
The General Council structure ensures different creative, commercial, and institutional interests within the music ecosystem are fairly represented. A combination of elected members and nominated representativeswill constitute the Board, per the Society's Articles of Association.
This structure prevents any single genre or sector from dominating policy or decision-making and ensures creators across all styles receive Board-level representation.
