Understanding the Vacancies

The General Council structure ensures different creative, commercial, and institutional interests within the music ecosystem are fairly represented. A combination of elected members and nominated representativeswill constitute the Board, per the Society's Articles of Association.

This structure prevents any single genre or sector from dominating policy or decision-making and ensures creators across all styles receive Board-level representation.

The 2026 Board Election features two categories of elected positions, each designed to bring diverse expertise to MCSN's governance.
